If you work alone you will have built a downline of only the members you personally referred. In a matrix, that number will be much greater due to spillover. At the end of the month, the matrix will compress and fill in all the spaces left by the people that are inactive. This will move people up into a vacant spot.

When a visitor makes a purchase from your website, many companies pay you a one time, fast start bonus. If a visitor would like to join your internet biz, you would also earn a fast start bonus, the visitor will now become part of your downline, and you will begin earning a monthly residual income from your downline members.

Matching Bonuses
Find out if the internet biz you are considering has matching bonuses. If the structure is a force matrix, each person who joins your team, will have their own matrix. You will earn a matching bonus on the matrix of all the members you personally referred, regardless if they fall within your own matrix or outside of your matrix. For example, if you have 3 personally referred members and 1 member earns $100, 1 member earns $250, and the third member earns $300 per month, you would earn a total of $650 from your 3 personal referrals because the company will match 100% of all of your personal referrals monthly income.

The potential to build an income using a matrix structure is good; but it's not a quick process; it may take several months to see significant results. There are no qualifying or group volume requirements to start earning money. You will begin earning with the first purchase from your website, or when the first member joins.

TRANING & SUPPORT
The training you receive is also an important factor to starting your internet biz. Find out if there are real people you can talk to before you begin. Make sure all your questions are answered so you understand what the internet biz is about. Also keep in mind that you will need to set aside a budget to market your internet biz. Choose a business that has online and offline marketing tools to help you grow your business. Many companies provide weekly training and business overview calls so that you can get familiar with the products and/or services you will be marketing. Utilize these calls frequently.
