Colouring Pencils-Great For Home or Office

Colouring pencils allow people to express their inner thoughts and feelings, whilst creating beautiful pieces of art. There are three types of colouring pencils:

2. Wax based which are bound with wax

When colouring with colouring pencils, many different shades of colour can be attained by blending the colour. This is achieved by placing layers of colour over the top of each other. When blending colour with colouring pencils it is best to initially colour lightly and then apply other colours over the top, gradually working to the desired colour. With practice this becomes easy.

Another way to blend your artwork using colouring pencils is a technique called burnishing, which involves layering of multiple colours, and then finishing with a lighter colour, usually white, and then begin blending all the colours together. This techniques often takes time and practice to master.

Drawing is a form of visual expression and is one of the major forms of visual arts. Drawing with colouring pencils is exactly the same as drawing with an ordinary pencil except the initial sketch immediately comes to life.

When drawing or colouring with coloured pencils always keep the tip of the pencil sharp and many colouring pencil experts will tell you to sharpen your pencils, with a sharp knife.

When you first begin colouring with colouring pencils the techniques of layering and burnishing may seen difficult, but with time, practice and patience you will see great improvements and creating magical pieces of artwork.
