The chemicals used at public water purification facilities are health hazards to humans, as well as the germs they target. They cause skin irritation, digestive problems and have been linked to various forms of cancer.

In order to completely protect your health and your family, you would need a whole house water purifier that is certified to remove THMs. Check for performance data sheets and certifications before you buy (the better water purifier companies post them on their websites).

Public water purification has come a long way since the days when the people of India filtered their water through a porous clay pot, but there are still problems. We can address those problems with water purifiers. The technology that is not found in a treatment facility can be created for a reasonable price in your home.

Water purification and protection is everyones job. Take care what you pour down the drain, and the quality of what comes out of peoples faucets will gradually improve.
