If you have a restaurant can you offer customers VIP certificates to the hair salon, or health club, or wellness center in your community? They should also reciprocate by offering certificates that you have created.

3. Brand Extensions - do you offer a service? Consider creating a product to sell to your clients. If you offer a product consider tying a service to it. Example; let's say that you own a bike shop can you create a weekend sports clinic to help customers learn emergency repairs for their bike? If you own a hair salon there are lots of online companies that can place your brand on cosmetics and hair care products. Go online and find them under 'private labeling companies.'

If you own a company that has employees and layoffs seems inevitable consider approaching them. You may have some talented employees that you don't want to lose. Consider working out an abbreviated work schedule until things pick up. They may have a project at home or something else that they can do while things are slow.
