Holland Home Auctions Conducts First Chicago Real Estate Auction

Approximately one hundred fifty Chicago and Wisconsin residential properties will be sold by auction on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. CST at The Stonegate, located at 2401 West Higgins Rd., Hoffman Estates, IL 60169. WZ Network contacted Steve Holland, CEO of Holland Home Auctions (www.hollandhomeauctions.com), inquiring about the effectiveness of real estate auctions conducted in Chicago. "Real estate sales trends are changing dramatically across the country with the decline of the mortgage lending industry, and this trend has hit home," states Holland. How did your company acquire this large number of homes? Mr. Holland said, "Last year my company developed a new home purchase concept, the sure sell program, where my company buys the existing home and the consumer can buy their new dream home. Our real estate auction event represents a small fraction of the large number of residential properties currently available in the Chicagoland real estate market." Why are you conducting a real estate auction? "It's time for me to reduce the inventory of properties I own. This real estate auction is geared to provide the general public with an opportunity to buy a quality home at perhaps a below market value," said Holland.

According to Steve Holland, his company has never conducted a real estate auction before. Holland Home Auctions contracted with nationally recognized auctioneer Tom DiNardo of DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers (www.DiNardoandLordAuctioneers.com) to consult on the design of this real estate auction event. "DiNardo & Lord Auctioneers has designed real estate auction events before, and my company has provided contract auctioneer services in the past for real estate auctions across the country," states DiNardo. What stands out in your mind as being different about this particular real estate auction? Steve Holland indicated that it is his intention to conduct one real estate auction each quarter and perhaps two condominium and town home auctions each year depending upon market viability. His advice to all potential bidders is to visit his company's web site and read all the Auction Terms and Conditions. Holland advises previewing all homes that you intend to bid on, and attending the bidder registration and preview period prior to the auction start time.
