DynaMed? Provides Institution-wide Continuing Medical Education Credits Through Tufts Health Care Institute and Tufts University School of Medicine

Ipswich, MA (PRWEB) October 9, 2007 -- EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) has partnered with Tufts Health Care Institute (http://www.thci.org/) (THCI) and Tufts University School of Medicine (TUSM) Office of Continuing Education (http://www.tufts.edu/med/about/offices/oce/), to provide institutional access to Internet point-of-care CME/CE credits via DynaMed?. DynaMed (http://www.ebscohost.com/dynamed) is EBSCO's evidence-based reference resource. The database can work within electronic health records and is the only evidence-based reference resource shown to answer most clinical questions (http://www.annfammed.org/cgi/content/abstract/3/6/507). This new partnership further expands the usefulness of DynaMed by allowing institutions to provide users with access to CME/CE credits.

In order to meet the continuing medical education needs of physicians and other healthcare professionals, DynaMed can now be integrated with the Tufts Online Credit Tracker for institution-wide access to CME/CE. DynaMed is approved as a source of point-of-care learning CME/CE in the United States. Tufts Health Care Institute manages the TUSM Office of Continuing Education, a nationally accredited provider of continuing education for physicians, nurses and pharmacists; and THCI has developed the Online Credit Tracker for issuing and recording Continuing Education credits and certificates. The Tracker enables learners to quickly and easily obtain their certificates and maintain a record of their accredited activities.

A link within the search results of DynaMed will allow healthcare providers to receive Internet Point-of-Care CME credits from Tufts for their searches.

AMA, AAFP and AANP credits will be available immediately with additional types of credits to be added over time. Current DynaMed users can upgrade to the institutional CME/CE module to begin receiving continuing education credits.
