The premise of the cartoon is simple: Zoobie, the main character, works at a fast food restaurant and is desperately trying to harness internet marketing to make money online so he can quit his job. In his quest to achieve financial freedom, he falls for common internet marketing mistakes that keep many beginners from experiencing online success.
The inspiration for "Zoobie: the Internet Marketing Newbie" stemmed from Brunson's own experiences as a fledgling internet marketer. "I was getting scammed left and right from 'get rich quick' schemes and business opportunities that promised the sizzle and not the steak," says Brunson. "Most of the mistakes Zoobie makes in the cartoon were committed either by me or someone I know. The cartoon's a fun way to educate internet marketing beginners on how not to make money online."
